"Soul Food" is a type of food that is usually associated with African-Americans. "Soul Food" originated in Africa and was brought over to the modern day "south". This spicy combination of foods is found in not only the "south", but in many kitchens around the US. This type of cooking can be found in all types of food. Dishes such as Macaroni and cheese, Fried Chicken, Cabbage, and more. Soul Food has grown to become a popular cooking style in the US and maybe recognized in other countries' cooking as well.
So at this time we ask if you can submit some of your favorite "soul food" recipe. Along with a couple sentences on the origin of your soul food and why it's important to you and your family. This is optional however we would appreciate this as we can give the rest of our "foodies" community a taste of love. In Conclusion, February Soul Food is a time for all "Soul Food" foodies to come together and share a taste of home. Remember, Stay Healthy, Stay Healthy- ~The JEH Team :)

Hello. I am from India and I have to say we use a lot of american souther ingredients in our food. Like our Indian cabbage uses a lot of spices and peppers and it is loved by many of our family members.
